Friends of Football,

Its the Holiday season, and our gift is a plethora of great Football matches!  Champions League Group stages are wrapping up this Tuesday and Wednesday, and we will be featuring all the matches at the Bulldog.  Many clubs have already booked their spot in the round of sixteen, but there is still plenty to play for.  Tuesdays feature match pits Manchester United v Valencia in a battle for the top spot in Group C.  Tottenham also could win the top seed in their group with a victory over FC Twente away.  Wednesdays feature match sees Arsenal in a must win situation against Partizan Belgrade, with Braga and Shaktar also still in the fight in Group H.  Marseille and Roma are both in the drivers seat to advance, but need a result to ensure their passage to the round of sixteen.  Marseille faces the tougher test vs. Chelsea who has yet to stumble in Champions League football.  If you are a fan of Championship football (Englands Second Division), be sure to join Geoff Mcpherson at Friday lunchtime for the Queens Park Rangers v Watford fixture.  Geoff heads up a club for fans of Football league teams in England, and it is always fun to come in and share a pint or two with him.  The great football continues on the weekend with some intriguing EPL fixtures.   West Ham, Villa, and Fulham all try and bounce back from last weeks losses, and Newcastle faces a resurgent Liverpool side on Saturday morning.  Sunday brings us one of the feature matches of the week with Tottenham playing host to Chelsea at White Hart Lane.  Chelseas form has dipped over the last month, leaving them desperate for a result.  Tottenham has been resilient at home, but a possible return for Chelseas Frank Lampard could make things difficult for them.  Finally, Monday lunchtime brings us a mouth watering fixture between old foes Manchester United and Arsenal.  Arsenal is top of the table, but undefeated Man. United holds a game in hand on them.  Games like this are pivotal in deciding who will still be in the fight come April and May, expect an incredible battle for supremacy in the Prem!
