The latest from the Bulldog...

Football Fans,

Champions League round of sixteen, Europa League, and FA Cup 5th round feature for this third week of February at the Bulldog.  Tuesday lunchtime starts us off with a bang, as AC Milan play host to an injury depleted Tottenham in our featured match.  Spanish side Valencia face German side Schalke in the other Champions League fixture of the afternoon, and to round things out for the day Birmingham City take on Newcastle in the English Premier League.

Wednesday our match of the week commences at 12:45pm, with Arsenal playing host to Champions League favorites Barcelona.  Barca has been in incedible form, having just set the record in La Liga for consecutive matches won.  Arsenal will have to be at the top of their game, and then some, if they are to take anything away from this one.  The Bulldog is anticipating strong support for both sides, and the atmosphere is expected to be crackling!  In the other Champions League fixture of the day AS Roma face Shaktar Donetsk, which will be aired on one of our side TVs.

Thursday is an all Europa League afternoon, with the first round of matches beginning at 11am.  Our match of the day will be Sparta Praha v Liverpool with a 1pm lunchtime kickoff.

Saturday morning the Bulldog will be open early (5:30am) for one of the better FA Cup matches of the weekend, as Chelsea face off with Everton.  The 8am slot has two EPL sides taking on two League One sides, with Birmingham v Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City v Brighton & Hove Albion.  The David and Goliath match up of the weekend sees Manchester United kick off at 10:15am against fifth tier side Crawley Town.  Matches like this are huge for small sides like Crawley Town, as they stand to make half the earnings from television revenue and gate receipts.  A win here for Crawley, although highly unlikely, would be nothing short of epic for them.

Sunday morning the Bulldog will open the doors at 7am for the Manchester City v Notts County FA Cup fixture.  This match will be followed immediately by Fulham v Bolton/Wigan and then Leyton Orient v Arsenal at 9:30am.  Barcelona take on Athletic Bilbao in La Liga to finish the day with a 1pm kickoff.
