FootballFans,

Our Colorado Rapids got offto a great start in the CONCACAF Champions League last weekwith a thrilling 3-2 win over Isidrro Metapan of El Salvador.  Tonight isgame two of the group stage for the Rapids, and they have travelled down toHonduras to face Real Espana.  Both theBulldog and the Three Lions will be hosting away game viewing parties for thisdifficult away fixture (8pm).  Any points earned on the road in CCL arehuge, and you can bet the Rapids will be hungry to get a result.  Look forsome of the younger lads to get some time in  this match, as a handful ofstarters are being rested.  Our success in CCL will depend heavily on thedepth of the squad, as Coach Smith will be keen to get some minuteshere for the fringe players.

Wednesday we see both Arsenal and Liverpool in action in the earlyafternoon.  Arsenal face Udinese in aUEFA Champions League Qualifier, and they are clinging to a slim one goaladvantage.  A loss here could be devastating to a club that is currentlystruggling.  Liverpool faces League 1 side Exeterin the Carling Cup simultaneous to the Champions League fixtures.  Thesegames are followed by Real Madrid taking on Galatasarayin the UEFA Super Cup, and then some decent MLS action in the evening.

Our weekend holds some great matches in store for us, and we are opening earlyboth mornings (5am Saturday & 6am Sunday).  Saturday is a full day offootball, with the EPL, Bundesliga, Npower Championship, Serie A, andMLS all featured throughout the day.  At 6:30pm our Rapids kickoff against Chicago on the road.  Both Pubs will behosting viewing parties, so wear your colors, and join us in support of theRapids as they try to extend their MLS unbeaten streak against the Fire.

Sunday morning we open the doors at 6am, as Newcastle hosts Fulhamin the early match.  Tottenham take on ManchesterCity at 6:30am in the first of three big matches onthe day.  These two games lead up to an EPL classic as ManchesterUnited play host to Arsenal at 9am.  The Gunnersare desperate for a win, while Man. United are comfortably sitting on sixpoints after winning their first two.  Both teams have plenty of youth intheir sides, and as always this should be a terrific game.  Our final bigmatch of the weekend is in our own domestic league as the New York RedBulls welcome the Los angeles Galaxy to Red BullArena in NYC.  The last time these two sides met it was a thriller, andthe pace was frenetic.  The match kicks off at 5pm, and is a great way tofinish the weekend!
