Football Fans,

Carling Cup, La Liga, and CONCACAF Champions Leagueare the name of the game for midweek football this third week inSeptember.  Today we see the seemingly unstoppable Manchester United face old rivals Leeds United in a lunchtimeCarling Cup clash.  Curries are available on special, and this game willbe followed by a live La Liga fixture between Villarealand Mallorca.  The dayfinishes with two CCL fixtures, as Toronto and Seattle face Central Americanopponents.  Wednesday will be a great football day with Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid all in actionaround lunchtime.  Those matches will be complimented by two Carling Cupfixtures, with Liverpool facing Brighton & Hove Albion andChelsea taking on Fulham.  The latter beinga West London Derby, with one good side most assuredly dropping out of thecompetition.  Wednesday evening brings us a number of great matches withthe MLS and CCL taking center stage. The highlight of the night by far is our Colorado Rapids homefixture v Real Espana.  Coloradowill be looking to stop their recent dip in form, and cement three more pointsin their fight for the second round of CCL.  A loss or tie here could putthem in a precarious position, with only away games remaining in the GroupStage to glean any points from.  Get out and support your local club, tickets are available for only $10, and can be reserved by following this link( http://www.bulldogsupporters.com/events/detail.php?eventID=134).

Late Wednesday night/Thursday morning the USA Rugby team takeson Australia in a make or breakmatch for the Eagles.  With a win over Russia in the books, the USA couldbook themselves a spot in the second round with an upset here.  This willbe there toughest match, and after Irelands upset of Australia, the Wallabieswill be keen to put it to the States.  This match kicks off at 2:30am, andyes we will be open and serving curry wraps and coffee for any nightowls thatdont want to miss this one.  Friday night/Saturday morning features twomore big RWC fixtures, with Englandfacing Romania at 12am, followed by New Zealand taking on France at 2:30am.  Onceagain we will be open for both of these late night RWC clashes.  We finishour Rugby coverage for the weekend with three Saturday night fixtures, Fiji faces Samoa (directly following theRapids match), Ireland takeson Russia, and the late nightclash pits Argentina v Scotland

Weekend football starts early Saturday morning(5:45am), as undefeated Manchester City hostEverton at the Eastlands. This kicks in to an 8am slot that sees Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal all try to right theship after last weekends losses.  The mid morning has Man. United travelling to Stoke to take on thePotters.  Stoke is known for a stingy defense, and this wont be an easytest for the Red Devils.  Real Madrid hostRayo Vallecano at lunchtime, directly followed by Barcelonataking on Atletico Madrid in another topLa Liga fixture.   Beginning at 2pm the MLS fires up, and their areplenty of matches to fill the bill.  The highlight of the day will be our Colorado Rapids playinghost to the San Jose Earthquakes at DSGwith a 7pm kickoff.  Buses will be departing the Pubs throughout theafternoon, and shuttling fans up to the park for the pregame tailgate ( infocan be found at this link http://www.bulldogsupporters.com/events/detail.php?eventID=135).  There are only three regular season home matches left, and they areall against our greatest rivals in the league.  A win here could set thetone for another Rapids playoff run.  Make sure to get out in support ofyour hometown boys, as they prep for the playoffs.

We finish the weekend with an early F1 Grand Prix.  SebastienVettel could take the title with a win in Singapore,as they take on a nerve wracking street course along the Marina Bay.  Therace will be followed by the only EPL fixture of the day, Queens Park Rangers v Aston Villa.  Have a greatweek, and dont forget to get out in support of your Colorado Rapids!
