FootballFans,

It is an International window this week with both Euro 2012 Qualifyingand World Cup Qualifying providing the bulk of our footballschedule.  In addition we have a few choice MLS fixtures, and the Rugby World Cup Quarterfinals to enjoy.

Tonight we see the MLS marquis match up between the New York Red Bullsand the Los Angeles Galaxy kicking off at 6pm.  LosAngeles is locked in as the Supporters Shield winners (best regular seasonrecord in MLS), and as the number one seed in the 2011 playoffs.  Theyface a Red Bulls side that is struggling to make the playoffs, despite havingthree designated players.  The Red Bulls currently hold the final wildcard playoff spot, and they will need points tonight if they expect to stay inthe race.  Immediately following, with an 8pm kickoff, is the U.S.Open Cup FinalSeattle hosts Chicagofor this one, and the Sounders are trying to win their third Open Cup in arow.  At stake, in addition to domestic silverware, is a berth in theCONCACAF Champions League tournament next year.

Friday its International football on tap, with both Euro 2012 Qualifiers andWorld Cup Qualifying on the schedule.  Lunchtime holds two big Euro2012 fixtures in store for us, with the Czech Republichosting Spain, and England travelling toMontenegro.  Spain has a lock on first in their division, but theCzechs need a win to stave off a challenge from Scotland forsecond place in the group.  England can wrap up top spot in their divisionwith a win or a draw, while Montenegro needs the points as they are facing achallenge from Switzerland for second in the group.  Thiswill be Englands eighth and final match in Euro 2012 Qualifying.  Therest of the afternoon and evening offers World cup Qualifying live from SouthAmerica.  Brazil holds an automatic berth in the 2014Final, leaving nine teams fighting for the four remaining South Americanqualification spots.  Uruguay faces Bolivia witha lunchtime kickoff, and Argentina, Chile,Peru and Paraguay play in the early evening.

Late Friday and Saturday evening the Rugby World Cup Quarterfinals take place. Kickoff times are 11pm and 1:30am both nights, and the Pubs will be serving afull late night menu for the matches.  The up and comers have beeneliminated from the tournament, leaving Rugbys powerhouse sides to battle forthe World Championship.  Ireland takes on Walesin the first Friday night fixture, followed by England againsttheir old rivals France.  Saturdays Rugby sees foursouthern hemisphere powerhouses in action.  First South Africatakes on Australia, and then New Zealand faceArgentina.  Anyway you look at it these will be four top billRugby matches that shouldnt be missed.
