The International window closes this evening with both the USMNTand Mexico taking on South American foes.  ClintDempsey, our man in form, led the U.S. to a well deserved victory overHonduras on the weekend.  It will be interesting to see how he and therest of the USMNT stack up against a decent Ecuadorian side.  Ecuadorhas a formidable attack led by Manchester United star AntonioValencia, Club América striker Christian Benítez andPachuca hit man Jaime Ayoví.  Tim Howardand the American Defense will certainly be tested here.  Kick off is5pm, and falls perfectly in to our Happy Hour at both the Bulldog and ThreeLions.  Directly following that match, Mexico takes on Brasilin another International Friendly.  Anytime a team faces Brazil it is agood litmus test as to where they stand in world football.  El Tri is onhome soil, which should make for a very enticing fixture.

The weekend holds two huge matches in store for us.  Fridaynight (8:30pm kickoff) our ColoradoRapids face arch rival Salt Lake, in theirfinal regular season home game.  The MLS playoff scenario is plentycomplicated, but we know one thing, the Rapids are sure to book their spot witha win over visiting Salt Lake.   Also at stake is ourchance at returning the Rocky Mountain Cup trophy toColorado.  The Rapids are well rested after a busy schedule in Septemberand early October, and should be able to field their first team.  The BSGwill be hosting a huge tailgate to celebrate this important derby match, andrunning buses from both the Three Lions and the British Bulldog. Reservations can be made at , please reserve early if you areplanning on attending the match.

The other big match of the weekend pits Liverpool againstManchester United in a classic EPL clash.  Liverpool is farstronger than they have been over the past couple of seasons, and they holdhome field advantage here.  The Red Devils are still unbeaten inleague play, and surely they face their biggest challenge to date.  Thematch kicks off early (5:45am) and both pubs will be open and servingbreakfast.

Our other feature of the weekend is the Semifinals of the Rugby WorldCup.  Late Friday night (2:00am early Saturday morning),surprising Wales face France in perhaps theirbiggest match ever.  Then Saturday night (2:00am early Sunday morning) aclash of Rugby Titans commences.  The All Blacks ofNew Zealand face the Wallabies of Australiain what may be considered the match of the tournament.  Whether you aredie hard Rugby or not, this is the World Cup, so you wont want to miss eitherof these two great fixtures.  Make sure to make your way down to the Pubearly to get your drink on, as we can only serve libations till 2am.  Thekitchen will be providing food for both late night matches as well.

Have a great weekend, and make sure to get out and support the Rapids whenthey take on Salt Lake this Friday night!
