Feature Matches

Carling Cup Quarterfinals and Europa Leaguefootball are the midweek highlights as November comes to aclose.  This afternoon we have two marquis match ups for the CarlingCup Quarterfinals with Arsenal hosting Manchester City, and Chelsea hosting Liverpool.  TheCarling Cup is always a test of depth for the big clubs, and we will likely seesome fringe players for all the teams involved.  Both games will be hotlycontested, with younger players from both sides looking to impress.

Wednesday we start at 11am with Celtic facing AthleticoMadrid in the Europa League competition.  This match leads usinto a Carling Cup Clash between Manchester United andCrystal Palace (12:45pm kickoff).  United will start plenty ofyouth, while Palace is likely to throw the first team at United in a bid toadvance.  The Carling Cup, similar to the FA Cup, is aperfect chance for Championship and League teams to shine against topcompetition.  The weeks Europa League action wraps up on Thursday withboth Stoke and Fulham in action against theirrespective opponents, amongst some other great fixtures.

Friday is the draw for the Euro 2012 tournament to be held this Summer inUkraine/Poland.  The draw is live at 10am, and anyone that is interestedis welcome to come down early before our doors technically open at 11am. Friday afternoon holds a very good Championship fixture in store, with CrystalPalace back in action against Derby County. This will be a quick turnaround for a Palace side that faces Man. United two daysprior, but they do hold the home field advantage.

One of our weekends feature matches kicks off early Saturday morning, asNewcastle take on Chelsea (5:45am).  These twosides sit a point apart in the table, with Newcastle clinging to fourth andChelsea sitting in fifth.  Chelsea has a very important champions leaguefixture a few days later, and this may affect their lineup slightly.  At7:30am the top four teams in the Bundesliga face off, with first place B. Dortmundtaking on second place M. Gladbach, and third placeBayern Munchen facing fourth place Werder Bremen. All four are seperated by less than three points, and the results are sure toshake up the table in the Bundesliga.  At 8am we have Arsenal and Man Cityin action, and then at 10:30am Aston Villa takes onManchester United.  Spanish and Italian football round out theday with Real Madrid, Barcelona, and InterMilan all looking for wins.
