Feature Matches
Our Colorado Rapids travel to the Gulf Coast of Florida to take on theTampa Bay Rowdies, kicking off a week dominated by International Friendlies.  The Rapids face a tough test away, after coming off an inspiring win against Montreal last weekend.  Quite a few players that featured in that match have made the trip south.  With a win the Rapids would earn the right to face Sporting K.C. in the next round of the Cup.  Details are yet to be released as to whether or not we can show this match, so call the Pub tomorrow to see if we will have the game.
The USMNT thrashed Scotland last Saturday, but a tougher test awaits, as they faceBrazil Wednesday night (6pm ko).  These matches are preparatory for World Cup Qualifying, but anytime you face Brazil it is something special.  This match falls into our natural Happy Hour at the Pub, and we are expecting a terrific crowd in support of the Stars and Stripes.  We will be serving Caiprinhas on special ($3.50) as well for Denvers Brazilian contingent.  Dont miss this huge clash!
On the weekend England takes on Belgium in their final tune up before Euro 2012.  This should be the England side you will see in the tournament, as Hodgson tries to iron out any last minute kinks.  On an interesting side note, goal line technology will be tested in this match, and possibly instituted in upcoming competitions if it is successful.  TheUSMNT finish off our weekend with a match against North American rivalsCanada this Sunday at 5pm.  Both teams are wrapping up preparations for their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
On the Horizon
Euro 2012 and World Cup Qualifying begin next week!  Argentina also faces Brazil in a Friendly Saturday night.

European Championship 2012:  Preparations are being made for a top notch Euro 2012 party at the Three Lions.  The competition kicks off on Friday June 8th, and culminates Sunday July 1st.  The first eight days of the tournament we will be open at 7am, three hours before the first kick off.  Get in early as the vast majority of tables are first come first serve.  We have also made the addition of a private VIP lounge that is available for up to 25 people (contact Jon for more details).  We will be adding brand new televisions and tables to other areas of the Pub to help optimize every ones viewing experience for this massive event.  The Lions will be running beer specials throughout the tournament, and will feature every match live with volume. Be sure to join us for what promises to be an incredible month of World Football!
Formula 1:  Returns Sunday June 10th with the Canadian Grand Prix live from Montreal.
Scarf Wall:  I am currently collecting soccer scarves from around the world for the Three Lions scarf wall.  If you have any old football scarves that are just sitting in a drawer, and you would like to see them displayed in the Pub, please bring them down. (Thank you to all of the folks that have already contributed!)
