Feature Matches

The Colorado Rapids return home to face Coach Parejas former Club FC Dallas this Saturday night at 7:00pm. Dallas is bottom of the table in the Western Conference, with only three wins from nineteen games played.Although they have managed seven ties, only Toronto in the East has a worse record. The next two matches (Dallas & Toronto) are the perfect opportunity for Coach Parejas Rapids to right the ship, and nab six points, before a very tough stretch in late July and early August. The Bulldog Supporters Group will be running buses up to the match from the Lions, and hosting a pregame party out at the stadium (reserve here: www.bulldogsupporters.com ).

The US Open Cup Semifinals are tonight, and there is absolutely no television coverage. It really is a shame, as this is one of the oldest competitive trophies in United States sports history. The winner also earns a berth in next years CONCACAF Champions League competition. The Philadelphia Union host Sporting K.C. in one Semi, while the Seattle Sounders take on Chivas USA in the other. The only coverage I could find was a live stream of the Sounders match on their club website. There is one live midweek game withToronto hosting Vancouver tonight at 5pm MST.

The weekend has two feature MLS matches (besides our Rapids). Western Conference leaders San Jose (37pts) host 2nd place RealSalt Lake (36pts) at 8:30pm Saturday night. Then on Sunday afternoon the 3rd place Clubs from each Conference battle with the New YorkRed Bulls (31pts) hosting the Seattle Sounders (30pts).
