Feature Matches

This weeks football starts with another huge Wednesday line up!  The Pub will be open early featuring Womens Olympic football, with the highlight match of the morning pitting USA vFrance (10am kick off).  In the early afternoon we have two terrific Club Friendlies, as Manchester United face Shanghai Senua, andLiverpool take on Roma.  This could be Michael Bradleys debut match with Roma, where he is likely to be a key player.  All this leads up to our match of the day, theMLS All Star game.  The MLS All Stars take on the Champions of Europe,Chelsea F.C., with a 6:30pm kickoff.  Trivia is cancelled so this match can be featured with full volume throughout the Pub, and it will be followed by a replay of the USA Womens team versus France from earlier in the day.

Thursday morning Mens Olympic football begins with two early matches, Mexico vKorea and Spain v Japan.  The doors will open at 7:30am for any early birds that want to catch some footy.  Later in the day the unifiedGreat Britain mens team has their first match versus Senegal.  Team GB has big hopes for this Olympics given they will be playing at home with plenty of support.

Friday evening the Lions has two special events.  First we will be featuring theOpening Ceremonies of the 2012 Olympic games, starting at 7:30pm.  This will be followed by one of Denvers best Blues bands, theInformants, rocking the house for the rest of the night.  Come on down to support local Blues, and enjoy what is sure to be an awesome night at the Pub!

Saturday we will again open early (7:30am) featuring more Womens Olympic football.  The USA Womens side takes on Colombia with a 10am kick off, amongst other great Olympic matches.  Another highlight of the day is a Club Friendly between Liverpool and Tottenham, with an 11am start.  It is just less than a month till the 2012/13 Premiership Campaign kicks off, and this is a great chance to see two Clubs with high hopes battle it out.  Our other feature match of the day has our Colorado Rapids taking onSeattle at home, with a 7pm kickoff.  The Bulldog Supporters Group will be running buses to the match from the Pub (www.bulldogsupporters.com)

We finish the weekend with more Mens Olympic football, as team Great Britain faces the United Arab Emirates in their second match of the tourny.  This game kicks off at 12:45pm, and correlates perfectly with our Sunday Roast, which is available till we run out each and every Sunday from about 1pm on.
