Feature Matches
Midweek brings us a full compliment of English Premier League fixtures, in addition to Serie A, Copa Del Rey, and a Friendly for the USWNT. Tuesday brings us two EPL fixtures, and a Copa Del Rey clash for Real Madrid. FirstAston Villa take on Reading, with both teams hoping to claw their way out of the relegation zone. Two mid table clubs,Sunderland and Queens Park, also face off at lunchtime. Madrid, having dropped points on the weekend, will look forward to a better result in their Cup clash. We have three cracking matches to look forward to on Wednesday afternoon, with a West London Derby between Chelsea and Fulham, 5th in the tableEverton hosting 6th in the table Arsenal, and leaders Manchester United hostingWest Ham. These three games in England lead us into a Copa Del Rey fixture for Barcelona against Deportivo Alaves. Barca is a juggernaut, and the great Messi is on pace to beat the all time record for goals scored in a calendar year. This is a great time to watch this incredible Club, and their star player, as they create football magic week in and week out! Wednesday evening culminates with the U.S. Womens NationalTeam against the Republic of Ireland, with an 8pm kick off (they will rematch Saturday night @ 7:30pm). This match will be shown live with volume on the balcony, while we host our weekly trivia in the main bar.
Our weekend football starts early, with a 5:45am kick off Saturday morning, asWest Ham host Chelsea in the Blues second London Derby of the week. The Hammers have a tough week, facing Man U. on Wednesday, and then Chelsea only a few days later. Theyve put on some good performances so far, and surely are capable of grabbing points from one or both of these games. Arsenal, City, and United finish the days EPL action against their respective opponents in the 8am and 10:30am slots. La Liga fills the gap, before our match of the week, with both Barca and Real Madrid in action. Barca remains undefeated to date, and Real cant afford to slip in the Madrid Derby, as they face a hot Atletico Madrid side. This all leads up to our domestic Championship, the MLS Cup Final, which kicks off at 2:30pm. The L.A. Galaxy, the 2011 Champions, take on the Houston Dynamo in a rematch of last years Final. This is David Beckhams last game in a Galaxy uniform, and possibly his last in MLS. The Lions will be hosting a viewing party with our Happy Hour kicking in only thirty minutes into the match. Other specials include $3 Jim Beam, $3.50 Jameson & Gingers, and $4 Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey shots! Get down in support of your Domestic League, and watch the Final match of 2012, as these two great Clubs battle to hoist the 2012 MLS Cup!
