Feature Matches

Join the American Outlaws at the Bulldog this evening to cheer the USMNT on to victory over Honduras at 5pm! Then stick around and enjoy the other Semifinal between Panama and Mexico at 8pm.  The games are a doubleheader to be played at the one hundred thousand seat stadium in Dallas Texas, which should make for a great atmosphere.  So far the USA has outscored it's competition in the tournament 16-3, and the team is on a roll with nine consecutive wins.  They will not underestimate their opposition though, knowing full well Honduras is an organized and talented side.  The two teams split their games in the World Cup Qualifying Hex this year, and the Hondurans are the last team to beat the USA in a WCQ on U.S. soil (2001).  This is sure to be a memorable encounter, and another tought test for Klinsmann's team!  Our other Semi pits two teams that already clashed once in this tournament.  Panama won the Group Stage encounter 2-1, but you can't compare a Group game with a Semi.  Mexico will be out for blood, and will be keen to win a record eighth Gold Cup title.  The Final for the tournament is set for Sunday afternoon with a 2pm kickoff.  No matter who makes the Final it will be a great contest, but I don't think it is a stretch to say that most football fans in the region would like to see the USA face Mexico in the Championship!

The Colorado Rapids have a tough test at home on Saturday afternoon, facing the L.A.Galaxy!  The match is set to kick at 5pm, and there will be shuttle service from the Pub ( ).  The Rapids are coming off a good result away to Seattle, and a very positive midsummer stretch.  They are facing the Galaxy at the right time, as Landon Donavan is on duty with the USMNT for the Gold Cup.  Colorado hero, Pablo Mastroeni, will be making his return to DSG.  It will be strange to see him on the pitch wearing the Gold, White, and Blue of L.A.

On the Horizon

The Colorado Rapids will face Salt Lake at home on Saturday night next week, in the final match of the 2013 Rocky Mountain Cup!  The Championship kicks off in England, and most European Clubs will be engaged in pre-season friendlies.
