Feature Matches

The USMNT are set for what may be their biggest test of the 2013 World Cup Qualifying campaign, as they face Costa Rica away this Friday night.  On a day filled with WCQ's this fixture is certainly the highlight.  This is the rematch of the infamous blizzard match, that took place here in Denver back in March.  Costa Rica wants payback, and they know full well they can go top of the Hex with a victory.  Klinsmanns boys will be well prepared though, and bolstered by the return of Landon Donavan to their Qualifying effort.  Donavan is playing with a renewed vigor, as evidenced by his performance at the 2013 Gold Cup this Summer.  A win here for the Stars and Stripes, and a spot in Brazil is almost assured.  The match kicks off at 8pm, but get in early to grab a spot, and enjoy some of the other Qualification action from around the World.

Our other highlight match of the weekend has our Colorado Rapids travelling to Los Angeles for a Western Conference clash on Saturday night.  The Galaxy will be missing four key players to WCQ's, so the Rapids need to capitalize, and nab three points.  The race is on to stay in the playoff hunt, and as the competition catches up on games in hand, the Rapids are finding themselves in a precarious position.  If the team doesn't play with a sense of urgency from here on in, they may end up on the outside looking in.  The match kicks off at 8:30pm, and Great Divide Draughts will be on special all night!

On the Horizon

No matter what the result is Friday night in Costa Rica, the USMNT face another massive test Tuesday evening against Mexico!  In addition we will feature other WCQ's from around the World.  On the weekend European Club football returns, and the Rapids are at home against Dallas on Saturday night!
