Feature Matches

Champions League Group Stages dominate Tuesday and Wednesday's fixture list. Tuesday's highlight matches include Celtic v Barcelona, with the Scots hoping to repeat last years triumphant victory over Barca at home. To their advantage, Barca will be without Messi, who is sidelined for a few weeks with a hamstring problem. Arsenal face a difficult test against Napoli, in a battle for top spot in Group F. Group H leaders AC Milan travel to Ajax, with the Dutch side needing three points badly if they want to entertain qualifying for the round of 16. Tuesday evening at 7pm we have the U.S. Open Cup Final, between Real Salt Lake and D.C. United. RSL is for real this season, but D.C. have been atrocious. Perhaps United will somehow manage some silverware, in what has surely been their worst season ever.

Wednesday's Champions League action is no less exciting, with the feature match pitting Manchester City against Bayer Munchen. PSG v Benfica is our other match of the day, and we also have Manchester United and Real Madrid in action.

The weekend starts early with EPL Saturday morning, leading into a day of European and Domestic Football. The real story Saturday though is the Colorado Rapids playing host to the Seattle Sounders. The Rapids are coming off a bye week, which gave their Western Conference competition a chance to catch up on games in hand. At the end of the day the Rapids didn't fair too badly, coming out tied on points with the Galaxy, and a point ahead of surging San Jose. The Earthquakes have been creeping up, but the Rapids do hold a valuable game in hand on them. Vancouver and Dallas both lost, leaving plenty of breathing room there. So that leaves our boys facing Seattle at home, with a crucial three points on the line. The exciting thing is the playoffs have essentially started in the Western Conference, as the race is tighter than ever. Regardless the outcome Saturday, the Rapids will still hold their own destiny in hand, as they face San Jose the following week, and then Vancouver twice before the end of the season. The Pub will be offering shuttle service to the match, which can be booked at .

Sunday's action starts early, meaning 12am (on Saturday night), with live coverage of the Formula 1 Korean Grand Prix. Chelsea take on Norwich later in the day (6:30am), and EPL front runners Arsenal take on West Bromwich Albion at 9am. The Albion are fresh off a magnificent win over Manchester United, garnering their first win at Old Trafford since 1978. The Broncos travel to the Cowboys in the early afternoon, as the orange juggernaut continues to roll. The weekend finishes with two Western Conference MLS clashes that are meaningful if you are following the Rapids quest for a playoff berth.

Last but not least, NHL Hockey's 2013/14 season begins this week. Although we focus on the Avs and Bruins at the Bulldog, we do have the NHL package, and are more than happy to find your game regardless of which team you follow. Cheers!

On the Horizon

The Colorado Rapids travel to San Jose on Wednesday night, hoping to fend off the Earthquakes last minute playoff push! Trivia will be cancelled, so we can feature the match with volume. European football goes on an International break, with the final matches of World Cup Qualifying set to kick off at the end of the week. The USMNT are top of the Hexagonal going into the final two matches, and they face Jamaica on Friday afternoon. England have a massive match against Montenegro Friday afternoon, and there will be plenty of other action from around the World, as teams fight for a spot at Brazil 2014!
