Feature Matches

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our friends and patrons!  It is the second to last matchday of the Champions League Group Stage, and most Clubs are still in contention for a spot in the round of sixteen.  Highlight matches for this matchday include Borussia Dortmund v NapoliCeltic v AC MilanBayer Leverkusen v Manchester UnitedParis St. Germain v OlympiakosBasel v Chelsea, and Real Madrid v Galatasaray.  Teams that look set to book their spot in the round of 16 include Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester City & Barcelona.  Teams that are playing for their lives include Borussia Dortmund, Celtic, Juventus, & Ajax.  Our match of the day for Tuesday has Dortmund facing Napoli, in Group F.  A loss for last years finalists (and an Arsenal win or draw), and they will be eliminated.  If they draw or win against Napoli, it will come down to the final matchday for them.  Our Wednesday match of the day has Manchester United facing Bayer Leverkusen, in Group A.  United is undefeated, yet only hold a 1pt advantage over Leverkusen.  A win, and they are clear at the top of the group.  A loss, and Leverkusen takes the lead going into the final match, with the added challenge of Shakhtar getting back into the fight.  These two matches are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of all the storylines that can play out over the next two matchdays.

The MLS Cup Final is set, with Sporting K.C. hosting Salt Lake on December 7th.  Both teams get a break for the Holiday, before returning to training early next week.  Be sure to join us at the Lions for the Final game of the 2013 MLS Campaign next week.

On the weekend we have a full schedule of Club Football, kicking off Saturday morning with all the action from the EPL!  Sunday we have a very early start (5am), for what should be a cracker of a match, Tottenham v Manchester United.  Liverpool follows against Hull City, and we round out the morning with Chelsea hosting a difficult Southampton side.  Hope everyone has a terrific Holiday weekend, and safe travels to anyone that is heading out of town!

On the Horizon

Next week we have two matchdays for EPL, one mid week and one on the weekend.  In Spain we have the Copa Del Rey.  Friday morning we are hosting a World Cup Draw Breakfast,  and domestically we finish the 2013 season with the MLS Cup Final live at 2pm on Saturday December 7th!
