Feature Matches
It's a Holiday week, and we have an incredible lineup of matches from the sport we love!  First up we have the conclusion of the Round of 16 in the Champions League, with matches Tuesday and Wednesday (1:45pm kickoff).  Bayern Munchen hold a 2-0 aggregate advantage over Arsenal going in to this second leg match.  The Gunners managed a 2-0 win in Germany last year against Bayern, and will look to do the same here.  Our other Tuesday fixture has Atletico Madrid taking on AC Milan, with Atletico holding a 1-0 advantage.  The Spanish side will be at home, as they look to finish off Milan, and continue what has been a great year for them!  Wednesday afternoon another EPL side, Manchester City, will try to keep their Champions League dreams afloat.  They face an uphill battle, with a trip to Barcelona, and a 2-0 aggregate deficit looming over them.  City certainly has the tools to get the job done, and they will be sure to throw everything they have at Barca here!
It is St. Patricks Day weekend this week, and we have a huge Saturday and Sunday planned at the Pub!  Saturday morning we start the day with EPL and La Liga action, before moving on to our feature event of the day.  The Colorado Rapids open their season away to the New York Red Bulls, with a 2pm kickoff, and the Pub will be hosting our first Away Game Viewing Party of the year!  This is Club Legend Pablo Mastroeni's first match in charge, and he and the Burgundy Boys will certainly have their work cut out for them.  The Red Bulls suffered a humiliating loss in the first week of the season, leaving them extremely hungry for a result in their first match at home.   The Rapids should be strong this year, and with Pablo at the helm, we believe anything is possible for our hometown team!  Corned Beef & Cabbage will be on special all day, and we'll be running specials on Carlsberg & Great Divide draught all day!
The party continues Sunday morning (Happy Hour from 7-11am) with Manchester United taking on Liverpool (7:30am), followed by Tottenham v Arsenal (10am)!  Both of these matches will be critical to the title race, and have implications for Champions League qualification!
On the Horizon
There is a lot to look forward to next week.  First we wrap up the Champions League Round of Sixteen on Tuesday and Wednesday, before delving in to an incredible weekend of football!  We start the weekend with a massive clash, between Chelsea and Arsenal, in the EPL!  Saturday afternoon the Colorado Rapids have their Home Opener against the Portland Timbers!  The Pub will be running shuttles to the match, and reservations can be booked at To top things off, we finish next weekend with Barcelona battling Real Madrid in a La Liga Clasico!
