World Football Update
Feature Matches
We start the week with the Champions League Semifinals first leg, featuring both Tuesday and Wednesday.  First up, Spain's Atletico Madrid host England's Chelsea.  Atletico is perhaps the biggest surprise of the tournament, and with their success in La Liga this season, have a strong chance of doing the double.  Chelsea, and Mourinho, have had plenty of Champions League success.  The Blues will have to play quite a balancing act though, as they have Liverpool to negotiate in the EPL this weekend, before playing next week's second leg.  Our other Semifinal pits Real Madrid against Bayern Munchen, in a marquee match up.  Bayern has the luxury of already having wrapped up the Bundesliga title, while Real still find themselves with a lot to play for in La Liga. This could complicate things a bit for Real.  On a positive note for them, Christiano Ronaldo has been rested, and he is likely to make his return for this series.   The Three Lions will host a live broadcast of Sirius XM FC for the second leg of this series on April 29th (details below), with former USMNT player John Harkes paying a visit to the Pub!  Mark your calendar for this one, as the atmosphere, and match, are sure to be epic!
We have plenty of great football on the weekend,  with a few matches that really stand out.  Saturday afternoon our Colorado Rapids travel to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seattle Sounders!  Kick off is at 2pm, and the Lions is hosting an away game viewing party for this Western Conference clash!  We have not forgotten who knocked us out of last year's playoffs, and now it's time for revenge!  Wear your colors, and cheer our side on to victory with other Rapid's supporters.
It's a big Sunday morning in the EPL, starting early with a relegation battle match between Sunderland and Cardiff.  The kick off time is 5am, but this match leads into Liverpool v Chelsea at 7am.  Get in early to grab a seat, as this should prove to be one of the matches of the year.  A Liverpool win, and they have virtually wrapped up the title.  If Chelsea triumph it will surely bring things down to the wire in the EPL!  To finish the morning Manchester City pay a visit to Crystal Palace, knowing full well less than three points will eliminate them from contention for the title.  They need to watch out though, as Palace have been a giant killer of late.  Don't miss any of the action, and enjoy our morning football Happy Hour both Saturday and Sunday!
On the Horizon
Next week we feature the second leg of the Champions League Semifinals in the mid week.  On the weekend the Colorado Rapids return home to face the L.A. Galaxy in the first Saturday night match of the season at DSG!  In the EPL, Everton face Manchester City in a match that has both Champions League qualification and EPL title race implications!
