Feature Matches

This week the first leg of the Champions League Semifinals fall Tuesday and Wednesday!  First up, Juventus v Real Madrid, with the Italians knowing full well a positive result at home is a must if they hope to advance.  Wednesday it's Barcelona v Bayern Munchen, pitting two of the Champions League's heaviest hitters against one another!  This could be the most thrilling encounter to date in this year's version of the tournament, with only the prospect of a Super Clasico Final trumping this fixture!

Friday afternoon we have minnows Brentford facing off against Middlesborough in a Championship Playoff match, and early Saturday morning it's Ipswich Town v Norwich City!  Every year these fixtures stand out as some of the most entertaining football, as Championship sides battle for the coveted third and final spot in the Premiership for the 2015/16 season.

Friday night our Colorado Rapids are at home against the San Jose Earthquakes, with an 8pm start time!  As always the Rapids Supporters Groups are providing shuttle service up to DSG Park for the match.  The Rapids have proven they are tough to beat, now it's time to make sure they notch a W in front of the home fans!

Saturday the focus will be on the relegation fight in the Prem, with Aston VillaNewcastleHull, Sunderland, and Leicester City all kicking off at 8am!  The 10:30am kick off has Crystal Palace facing Manchester United, with Man. U. looking to stay in the hunt for Champions League football.

Sunday morning Manchester City start things off against Queens Park Rangers, looking to solidify their claim on second place.  The Rangers are all but eliminated, but could retain some hope with three points (if Sunderland fall on Saturday).  Chelsea, the newly crowned EPL Champions for the 2014/15 season, battle Liverpool in the 9am slot.  Despite the Reds poor form, they are still within striking distance of United in fourth.

Arsenal finish the game week on Monday with a clash against Swansea.  The Gunners still need every point they can muster, as they shoot for their best finish in nearly ten years!

On the Horizon

Next week the Champions League Semifinals wrap up mid week.  The relegation battle, and the fight for a spot in Europe next year, continues as the Prem winds down.  Our Colorado Rapids are away Saturday night to Sporting K.C.  Last but not least Manchester United and Arsenal clash Sunday morning!
