World Football Update
Feature Matches

A massive weekend of World Football awaits, as we head in to this first week in June!  First up a Friday afternoon Friendly between the USMNT and the Netherlands!  The Dutch are tuning up for Euro 2016 Qualification matches, while the United States make final preparations for the upcoming Gold Cup.  It isn't often that these two sides meet, and despite the friendly billing for the match it should be a quality encounter for both sides.  This is a lunchtime kickoff, and the first match on the bill of a quality weekend.

Saturday holds something special in store for fans of the game, with the UEFA Champions League Final kicking off at 12:45pm, followed almost immediately by the first match of the 2015 Women's World Cup!  Italian side Juventus meet Spanish side Barcelona, in a highly anticipated match up to see who will be crowned Champions of Europe.  The Italians are organized in the back, and can be deadly on the counter, while the Spaniards have what may arguably be one of the best striker trios to have played the game together.  This should be an epic clash between two differing styles of football!

Canada are the hosts for the 2015 Women's World Cup, and will kick off the tournament against China at 4pm MST!  The much anticipated tourny will stretch out over the next month, culminating July 5th with the Final!  Keep your eyes on the schedule for matches nearly every day for the next few weeks, including the USWNT's first match versus Australia on Monday June 8th!

Our Colorado Rapids will be in Utah this weekend, with a match against rivals Real Salt Lake set for 3pm Sunday afternoon.  The "Love" shared between these two sides goes way back, and given they are both desperate for three points, this one should be a true battle!  The Pub is hosting an away game viewing party, so be sure to wear your burgundy and get out to support the hometown boys!

On the Horizon

Next week the USWNT kick off their 2015 World Cup with two matches, Monday versus Australia, and Friday against Sweden.  2015 Copa America, and Euro 2016 Qualifiers are on their way as well!
