Feature Matches

We wrap up a week of Euro 2016 Qualifiers and International Friendlies this afternoon and evening. England face Switzerland at Wembley, in what could be a big match for Wayne Rooney. With a goal, Rooney could surpass Sir Bobby Charlton as England's all time leading scorer! That alone could make this match worth watching, despite neither side really needing any points to secure their spot in the Euro Finals next Summer. Sweden take on Austria in a more meaningful encounter, as Sweden need a result to keep Russia off their back. Later this evening we have a couple of terrific Friendlies. First up, the USMNT meet Brazil in their final tune up before the Confederations Cup Qualifier on October 10th. It isn't everyday that the Stars & Stripes face competition of this caliber, so this should make for a very enjoyable Friendly. At the conclusion of the USA match, we wrap up the International window with one more Friendly between Mexico and Argentina! El Tri are also testing themselves against the best possible competition before they face the U.S. on October 10th!

Wednesday night the Colorado Rapids have a big away test against the Vancouver Whitecaps! Colorado is coming off their most attractive performance of the season (the home win over K.C.), and could technically still squeak into the playoff picture. That really depends on if they can keep the momentum going though, and this match (like all the remaining matches) will be absolutely critical. Kick off is at 8pm Wednesday night, and the Pub will be hosting an away game viewing event for the match. On Saturday night the Rapids are at home to D.C. United, who are top of the table in the Eastern Conference! The Rapids Supporters Groups will be running shuttle service to and from the Pub for this one!

Saturday morning we kick things off with a quality EPL match between Everton and Chelsea! The Toffees are off to a strong start to their campaign, while the Blues have struggled a bit. This should be a great one if you are up early! We have a myriad of matches set for 8am, with Arsenal v Stoke and Crystal Palace v Manchester City headlining. The match of the day kicks off at 10:30am with a classic between Manchester United and Liverpool! The rivalry and history between the two Clubs speaks for itself, making this a must see EPL battle!

On the Horizon
