World Football Update

Feature Matches

A massive week in World of Football is complimented by the pinnacle event in Rugby, the Rugby World Cup! In addition to our dedication to showing all the best of the World's Game, we have acquired the RWC Pay Per View package for our patrons. Best of all there will be no cover charge; however, there will be occasional conflicts with our regular football schedule. In order to simplify what Rugby matches will be available at the Lions, I'll be releasing a schedule of the matches we will be able to feature at the Pub. Don't worry though, if there is a match that you don't see on our schedule, our Sister Pubs, British Bulldog and Patrick Carroll's, will be hosting the RWC fans as well. In fact Patrick Carroll's will feature all 48 matches of the RWC, with volume uninterrupted! So if you don't see your match on our schedule due to a conflict with World Football, you know exactly where to go to get your RWC action! The first match of the 2015 RWC is this Friday, with the Opening Cermony at noon, and England v Fiji kicking off at 1pm!

Now on to World Football. We kick things off with the Champions League Group Stages Tuesday and Wednesday, and Europa League action on Thursday! Our feature match Tuesday will be Manchester City v Juventus, and we will also be carrying the Manchester United, Real Madrid, and
Paris St. Germain fixtures. Wednesday, Roma and Barcelona get the main floor, and we will have the Arsenal, Bayern, and Chelsea fixtures featured as well. Don't miss your team in the World's best Club tournament, and don't forget we have a lunch special every day of the week for these matches! Thursday brings Europa League action, and we have Liverpool kicking off at 11am, and Tottenham at 1pm , amongst other matches! Thursday night we turn our attention to American Football, as our Denver Broncos are away to their divisional rival Kansas City! Don't forget we have $4 Jamo on special every Thursday, and a really great bartending crew! Should be a fun night.

The weekend starts off with a bang, as London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea go head to head at Stamford Bridge! An early kick off, but this one will certainly justify getting out of bed at the crack of dawn! The EPL continues throughout the morning, and in to the afternoon, before we feature the Colorado Rapids at noon. The season is essentially over with for the Rapids, but they are playing one of MLS' surging sides, Toronto FC. Giovinco, Bradley, Altidore, etc. We will also have coverage of France v Italy in the RWC at 1pm, before an evening of MLS fixtures.

Sunday morning will be a wild one at the Pub, as we feature Samoa v USA in the RWC at 5am (yes we will be open), followed shortly thereafter by the Formula 1 GP of Singapore. A bit later in the morning our attention turns to football, as we feature Tottenham v Crystal Palace, Southampton v Manchester United, and Liverpool v Norwich! We will also carry the New Zealand v Argentina Rugby match, although the first half may be without volume to accommodate the second half of the days EPL fixtures (again check out Patrick Carroll's if you want full Rugby coverage).

On the Horizon

Next week we feature the Capital One Cup mid week, with Tottenham v Arsenal headlining the lineup. La Liga has games mid week, and on the weekend. Houston host the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night, and the EPL match of the week is Tottenham v Manchester City! In RWC we have a handful of mid week fixtures, including the All Blacks on Thursday, England v Wales Saturday afternoon, and a big Sunday morning with the USA facing Scotland, Romania v Ireland, and Australia v Uruguay!
