Feature Matches

We kick things off this week with Euro 2016 and World Cup Qualification matches!  The Netherlands are in a must win situation against the Czech Republic, and they will need a loss from Turkey (versus Iceland) to avoid elimination from Euro 2016.  We'll have both matches simultaneously this afternoon.  The USMNT, reeling after their loss to Mexico, face regional rival Costa Rica in a Friendly this afternoon.  This is another great CONCACAF rivalry, and a match between the Tico's and the Stars & Stripes is always well contested. El Tri, after dominating the United States on Saturday, have a Friendly against Panama to close out their International window. The rest of the evening is devoted to South American World Cup Qualification matches, including Uruguay v Colombia, Paraguay v Argentina, and Peru v Chile!

Wednesday we focus on our domestic playoff battle in MLS, with three critical matches on the schedule.  Toronto are fighting to make the playoffs for the first time in years, as they face a New York Red Bulls side that wants to clinch the #1 seed in the East.  Dallas and Vancouver, having met only last week in a 0-0 draw,
are battling for the top spot in the West.  The late kickoff pits Salt Lake against Portland, with both sides battling for their playoff lives.  A win for the Timbers, and they move into the sixth and final spot, a win for Real and they remain in the hunt.  MLS matches with playoff implications continue throughout the weekend, making this a great time to tune into our domestic league!

It will be a wild weekend at the Pub, with the Rugby World Cup Quarterfinals, and some terrific EPL matches on the schedule!  It's going to be a bit tight as we try to accommodate fans of both sports, so please be patient with us as we try to make sure all our guests are well taken care of.  The weekend kicks off with two big EPL matches, Tottenham v Liverpool and Manchester United v Everton!  About an hour into the latter match we'll have South Africa taking on Wales in the RWC!  This is a highly anticipated battle between one of the World's best Rugby sides, and a Welsh side that is poised for a huge upset!  It's Arsenal v Watford with the 10:30am kickoff, before we feature a rematch of the 2011 Rugby World Cup Final!  New Zealand battle France for a spot in the Semifinals of the RWC!  If any team can test the All Blacks, it is Le Bleu!

We finish the weekend with more RWC Quarterfinal action, as Argentina face Ireland and Australia take on Scotland!  We have only one EPL match Sunday morning, with struggling Newcastle facing Norwich City.  Later in the day we have the Broncos away to the Browns in American football, and we finish with plenty of MLS action!

On the Horizon

Next week Arsenal face Bayern Munchen, and PSG battle Real Madrid, in the UEFA Champions League.  The Colorado Rapids are away to Sporting K.C. on Wednesday evening.  The Rugby World Cup Semifinals fall Saturday and Sunday morning.  In the EPL, feature matches include West Ham v Chelsea, Arsenal v Everton, and Manchester United v Manchester City!
