Feature Matches

The UEFA Champions League Group Stage comes to a close this week. Here is a group by group breakdown of where teams stand in their quest for the Round of 16:

Group A: Real Madrid (13pts) & Paris St. Germain (10pts) will advance from this group, but who will be top? Real have a 3pt advantage over PSG heading into the final group stage fixtures, and would need to slip up quite badly to relinquish top spot in Group A.

Group B: This group is very is very tight with Wolfsburg (9pts) precariously perched 1pt ahead of Manchester United (8pts), with the two sides set to meet Tuesday afternoon. To make things even more interesting, whoever loses this battle for the top of the Group may not advance, as PSV Eindhoven (7pts) could jump them in the standings with a win.

Group C: Atletico Madrid (10pts) and Benfica (10pts) meet on the final matchday for this group, with the winner taking home all the spoils!

Group D: Juventus (11pts) hold a slim advantage over Manchester City (9pts) with one match remaining. City must beat Borussia M'Gladbach to have any chance of catching the Italians!

Group E: Barcelona sits alone atop this Group with 13pts, leaving Roma (5pts) and Bayer Leverkusen (5pts) to fight it out for second. Roma arguably has the easier tie, as they are set to face lowly Bate.

Group F: Bayern Munchen (12pts) will win this Group, as they have an insurmountable goal differential at the top. Arsenal (6pts) are trailing Olympiakos (9pts) by three crucial points, but hold a slight advantage in goal differential. The Gunners are away to the Greek Champions, and need to win and score at least two goals to advance. This will be our feature match on Wednesday!

Group G: Chelsea (10pts) and Porto (10pts) battle each other for top spot in this group, with Dinamo Kiev (8pts) primed to snatch second place if either of the two top sides falter and lose.

Group H: Zenit (15pts) is top here, with Gent (7pts) and Valencia (6pts) left to fight for second place!

In the Europa League, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Borussia Dortmund will all be playing to win top spot in their Groups!

We have plenty of great football on the weekend to look forward to as well, Cheers!
