World Football Update
Feature Matches

This week Club football takes a break, as we turn our attention to International Friendlies and World Cup Qualification matches! The action starts Thursday, with Italy facing Spain in a warm up match for Euro 2016. CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifiers start at 2pm, with Bolivia v Colombia, followed by Ecuador v Paraguay, and later in the evening Peru v Venezuela! Those of you who are wondering about the Chile v Argentina match scheduled for Thursday evening, it will not be televised till Saturday night at 9pm (or Sunday morning at 7:30am). BEIN Sports has decided to revert back to the PPV route on some of their bigger South American Qualifiers, which is a step backwards for soccer fans in the States. I encourage any or all of you to reach out to them, and let them know what a terrible idea this is!

Friday is a huge day for the United States program, with both the U-23's and the full Men's National Team in action! The USA U-23's are in a home and away playoff with Colombia to qualify for this Summer's Olympic games. Their first match falls Friday afternoon, with the second leg scheduled for Tuesday evening next week! The USMNT travel to Guatemala for a Friday night prime time kick off! This is never an easy match, and will be the first WCQ for both sides this Spring. The Rapid's Marco Pappa will be suited up for the Guatemalans, and this is one game this season we will not be pulling for him to do anything.

On the weekend England battle Germany Saturday afternoon, and Spain face Romania Sunday, as warm up matches continue for Euro 2016!
